How does C3 calculate my 1,095 days?
C3 follows the IRCC rule: within any rolling 5-year window before your application date, you must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days. C3 scans every possible 5-year window and finds the one that maximises your days in Canada.
Does the day I leave or arrive count as a day in Canada?
Under IRCC rules, the day you leave Canada does NOT count, but the day you arrive back DOES count. C3 applies this automatically when you log trips โ you only need to enter the departure and return dates.
I had Temporary Resident status before becoming a PR. Does that count?
It can. Up to 365 days of physical presence in Canada as a temporary resident (student, worker, or visitor) before your PR date may count at a rate of 1 day for every 2 days present. Use the Status screen to record your TR periods and C3 will include them in the calculation.
Why does my eligibility date change when I add a trip?
Every day you spend outside Canada reduces the pool of days that count toward 1,095. Adding a trip correctly removes those absence days from the count, which may push your projected eligibility date forward.
How do I generate a PDF for my citizenship application?
Go to Settings โ Export PDF. C3 produces a CIT 0407-style report listing all your status periods and trips in the format IRCC expects. Always review it for accuracy before submitting any application.
Can I use C3 without an internet connection?
Yes. All your data is cached in encrypted local storage on your device. The app loads and works fully offline. Changes sync to the cloud automatically when you reconnect.
How do I delete my account and data?
Sign in to the app, or on the web at www.pathtocitizen.ca/login, then go to Settings โ "Delete account and all data". This immediately and permanently removes all your data from Firestore and deletes your account. This action cannot be undone.
Is C3 an official Government of Canada tool?
No. C3 is an independent personal planning tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Government of Canada. Always verify your eligibility using official IRCC sources before submitting any application.
